Is the PharmacyTrainer Course used by many employers, organizations, or colleges?

Yes! The PharmacyTrainer course is used in colleges, vocational schools, mail order pharmacies, retail pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, military pharmacies, and HMO facilities in all 50 States! We are proud they have made PharmacyTrainer their number one choice!

How many students have used the PharmacyTrainer Course?

Over 19,000 students have used our programs to study to pass the PTCB Examination on their FIRST TRY!

My employer has their own training program. Isn't that good enough?

Unfortunately, No! Employer created training programs are notoriously incomplete. Retail employers know a great deal about retail pharmacy. When it comes to hospital pharmacy, they simply can not give you the training a complete program like PharmacyTrainer can! Look at your employers materials. Do you see any Pharmacy Math? Any information on Cart Exchanges? Aseptic Technique? IV flow rates? Pediatric Dosing? Pharmacy Law? Keep Looking! Most programs do not, yet you will be tested on that very information!

What can I expect with the PharmacyTrainer PTCB Course?

You can expect to get the information that you need to pass the PTCB Examination on your first try, all in one program. You can expect that the materials will be presented to you in an easy to understand manner that allows every student to learn without leaving anyone behind. And you can expect to do this all at the lowest cost possible.

How much time will it take for me to complete the course?

In general, we recommend a period of six to eight weeks for a student who can study one to two hours per night. We have had students who have completed the course in a much shorter period of time, but we would consider our suggested time period to be optimal. Your work experience and general study abilities will dictate how fast you can move through the material. If you have been out of school for an extended period of time, you may benefit from one of our packages that cover study techniques and methods.

What is the first try success rate for graduates of the course?

The PharmacyTrainer program has produced graduates that consistently score in the upper percentiles of the PTCB exam. Our first-try pass rate is one of the highest in the industry!

How can you sell your program for less than $65 when competing programs cost hundreds of dollars more?

From our founding day, it has been a part of our mission statement to bring pharmacy technician training to the marketplace at a price that would not exclude any student from their certification goal. To be true to this goal, we have done everything possible as a company to keep our business costs to a minimum and put our resources into producing the number one technician training program available anywhere!

Do you have a guarantee?

Yes! And we don't make you wait to take advantage of our guarantee. Here is how our guarantee works: When you receive the program, if you do not agree that the PharmacyTrainer program is everything we have said it is, just email or call us for a Return Authorization within the first 10 days. That's it. No hoops to jump through.

I have no pharmacy experience. Is your course still the best for me?

Yes! We have had thousands students with absolutely no pharmacy experience and they have passed the certification examination ON THEIR FIRST TRY! Our course is written in such a manner that the student with no experience is brought into the practice of pharmacy in a well coordinated and easy to understand way. Concepts are explained in depth, and chapters are arranged so that knowledge from one chapter provides a foundation for the next. There are plenty of sample problems, and the student is walked through the process of filling prescription orders in both retail and institutional pharmacies. Math starts off with a review of fractions and roman numerals and progresses through the more difficult calculations using a generous supply of practice problems. The legal aspects of dispensing drug products is explained from the begining of pharmacy legislation. You are never "lost" due to assumptions of previous knowledge! Difficult concepts such as pharmacology and pharmacokinetics area explained using everyday examples and easy to understand language. Many colleges, vocational schools, and high schools use the PharmacyTrainer Program as their textbook to teach students with no previous pharmacy experience. Many of the retail pharmacy assistant managers are now required by their employers to become Certified Pharmacy Technicnians. Many of them turn to PharmacyTrainer, and they do extremely well!

I have lots of pharmacy experience. Is your course still the best for me?

Yes! You may have a lot of pharmacy experience, but very few candidates have experience in all of the areas upon which you will be tested. Do you have experience in I.V. Admixture? Are you confident in calculating IV flow rates? How about pediatric dosing? Cart Exchanges? Compounding? Aseptic technique? The list goes on and on. Your experience will surely help you on the material you use daily, but you still need a complete study program to bring you all of the knowledge needed from other practice areas.

How can I decide which format is the right one for me?

It is important to remember that the main distinction between the formats is the method used to present the material. Each format contains the same full program. The Interactive CD-ROM and Web Programs are for the computer savy student who likes to study with a computer. The main advantage to this method is the availability of extra screens containing photos or explanations that the text book does not contain. It also has the advantage of electronically scored quizzes and tests to provide immediate feedback on your progress through the learning process. The traditional book gives the ability of portability to the program. You can study wherever you are, whenever you want. If you will be studying away from the availability of a computer, the book format is for you. All of the answers for the book questions are contained in the back of the book.

I am math-phobic! Can your course help me?

Absolutely! The PharmacyTrainer course recognizes the fact that most students have been out of school for a while, and it may have been some time since the student was in a math class. We start off the process with basic math functions that relate to the practice of pharmacy. Fractions, Decimals, and Roman Numerals are taught to give a firm foundation to the more complex math calculations to come. We then progress through necessary skills needed to tackle the most complex pharmacy calculations. Even the most math-phobic students will love the PharmacyTrainer approach!

Does your course get updated to reflect the current trends of the exam?

Absolutely! PharmacyTrainer publishes our materials in-house. That means that we have control over all aspects of production. Whenever the need arises, we can make the updates, changes, or corrections needed to keep our program on the cutting edge of technician training!

Does your course have a way for me to check my progress?

Yes! An integral part of our program is the ability to assess your learning at several critical points in the process. After each chapter, you will encounter a short chapter quiz which summarizes major points covered. Then there are the 4 section tests which provide a more in depth appraisal of learning. And we must not forget the math tests which reveal your understanding of pharmacy calculations. Oh yes, there is also the final examination which is a 140 question practice examination that mimics the actual PTCB Exam! (CDROM testing system requires internet access and program membership)

Is my information safe when I order with PharmacyTrainer.com online?

Yes! No personal information is ever released to any other organizations or advertisors! There is no chance of unauthorized access to any of your information. Credit card numbers are not stored by our system. Once your order is placed, your credit card number is destroyed. There is no way a hacker can get your credit card number when it doesn't exist on our server!

Is your program sold anywhere else?

No! Presently, PharmacyTrainer is the sole provider for our Pharmacy Technician Programs. At one time we did sell them through Amazon.com, but the fees for selling would have made us raise the price of the book and pass the cost along to the student. Since this did not fit our company philosophy, we decided to eliminate the high expense of selling on Amazon.

I refuse to use my credit card on-line, or I don't own a credit card. Is there any other way I can order the program?

Yes! We will be happy to take your credit card order by telephone, fax, or mail. Those students who do not own a credit card can order through all of the same methods while using a checking account. E-check sales are a booming method of payment.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes! PharmacyTrainer offers discounts to members of the Armed Forces of the United States. We also offer discounts based on volume purchases and large orders by educational institutions. Please contact us for details!

Do you accept purchase orders? If so, what are the terms?

Yes! We accept purchase orders from qualified business and institutional customers for the PharmacyTrainer PTCB Programs only. All purchase orders are subject to approval, and are based on payment within 30 days from delivery. Call us for details at 877-232-8324.

What are my shipping options, and how soon do you ship my order?

You may choose from several shipping methods. We offer the inexpensive media mail shipping option from the US Postal Service, as well as Priority Mail, UPS Ground, and UPS 2 Day or Overnight Shipping. Customers should make their decision based on the combination of price and shipping time. While media mail is the least expensive, it takes the longest for delivery. Typically media mail deliveries to the midwest take about 4 days, while west coast deliveries usually take 5 to 6 business days. Media mail also costs about half of the UPS Ground charge.

Do you have materials available for technician educators?

Yes! PharmacyTrainer offers a complete line of materials for technician educators through our "sister" company, Pharmacy Curriculum Consultants". You may get more information by visiting PCContheWeb.com
